Christopher Hill

Christopher trained at The Australian Ballet School and enjoyed an 18-year professional dance career as a soloist with The Australian Ballet, Royal Ballet of Belgium, and West Australian Ballet. He performed extensively in leading roles, working with renowned choreographers of our time, at prestigious venues and festivals worldwide, including London, Paris, Moscow, New York, Shanghai, Jakarta, every Australian capital, and numerous other European cities. As a choreographer, he has created 12 main stage works performed in Belgium, Indonesia, and Australia, often composing the music and designing the costumes himself. He holds three university degrees and is a Churchill Fellow.

Since retiring from performing in 2018, Christopher has transitioned to teaching and choreography, developing a diverse skillset as an arts manager, dance educator, choreographer, coach for pre-professional students, and adult ballet instructor for all levels. Passionate about sharing his love of dance, he emphasises coordination, alignment, physicality, musicality, and artistry. A strong advocate for lifelong learning, Christopher fosters a positive and supportive studio environment where students can thrive on their dance journey.
