Lucy Whitfield

Lucy began her training at the age of 3 in Classical Ballet, Modern and Tap at ‘The Warrington School of Dance’ in Leicester, UK.

After discovering her passion for contemporary dance during her studies at Lutterworth College she went on to gain a First Class Honours Degree in Contemporary Performance from Middlesex University, London where she trained in Graham, Cunningham, Humphrey and Release technique. Here she was taught by Sir Robert Cohan and personally selected by him to perform in a run of ‘Tzaikirk’ at the ArtsDepot in London.

Her work ranges from dancing for Mutya Buena to choreographing and performing in Charity Shows at The Curve Theatre in Leicester.

Lucy has taught in primary, secondary, theatre and dance schools in Leicester and London; teaching various styles. Choreographing and directing shows, engagement programs and technique. Her passion and enthusiasm for the wholistic benefits of dance is always at the for front of her teaching.
