Sarah Mangan

Sarah Mangan began her training at Youth Ballet WA, developing a strong foundation in classical technique before completing a Bachelor of Arts in Dance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Her professional experiences, both locally and internationally, sparked a passion for arts education and a desire to bridge the gap between performance and the classroom. Sarah later completed her Master of Teaching (Dance) at Edith Cowan University, combining her creative background with educational expertise.

She has a deep love for choreography and is passionate about exploring new movements to bring music to life in meaningful and imaginative ways. In addition to teaching, Sarah founded Step by Step Dance, an online resource platform designed to support high school dance educators with choreography, curriculum-aligned content, and industry connections. Through this work, she continues to collaborate with leading creatives in the WA arts scene, bringing fresh ideas and professional insight into her teaching.

Sarah’s mission is for every student to leave her classroom feeling confident, creatively fulfilled, and empowered through the art of dance.
